Shrimp and broccoli with pasta

This is a very quick and easy meal. The colors are pretty, and it's considered a one-pot dish since it has a protein, starch, and vegetable. I found this on the website Damn Delicious, which has some very interesting recipes.

Variations
• Use freshly chopped garlic instead of garlic powder.
• Add hot pepper flakes.
• Used steamed snow peas instead of/in addition to the broccoli.
• Sauté slivered onions or julienned red or green bell peppers before satuéeing the shrimp.
Storage
• Shrimp does not reheat well so try to cook just enough for one meal.
Instructions
• Cook the pasta according to the package directions.
• When the pasta is al dente, drain the pasta. If you are not adding it immediately to the shrimp, add a bit of sesame oil to prevent it from sticking.
• While the pasta is cooking, steam the broccoli if you haven't done so already.
• Make the sauce by whisking together the brown sugar, garlic powder, cornstarch, soy sauce, oyster sauce, rice wine vinegar, grated ginger, sesame oil, and the Sriracha. Combine thoroughly.
• Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet. Cook the shrimp for approximately 2 - 3 minutes. Do not overcook. Time the shrimp to be done just after the pasta is cooked.
• Stir the sauce once more before adding it to the shrimp. Add the broccoli and pasta to the skillet. Toss thoroughly but gently. Cook long enough to heat everything, but no longer because the shrimp will overcook and become rubbery.
• Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions, if desired.
